SMI 2008 Field Survey Software

Read Cliff Wagner's review of SMI 2008 in POB

Built to run on most devices running Windows Mobile and Windows CE, SMI 2008 puts you at the forefront of field surveying. Although we've added features and overhauled the user interface, we kept the keyboard overlays from previous versions, including 90% of the keystrokes, allowing you to be productive in minutes.

SMI 2008 Data Collection

SMI Data Collection

SMI Data Collection offers robust collection and staking routines for land surveyors. From simple COGO routines to real-time collection and graphical staking, it also includes an "always on" base map and support for over 4000 coordinate systems. The flexible user interface also provides for different modes of operation, from efficiently accessing commands via the keypad or by selecting items through screen taps. Offered in two versions, this feature set is available for total stations (including robotic- and servo- driven) and GPS receivers.

SMI 2008 Construction

SMI Construction

SMI Construction contains all the features found in SMI Data Collection features and expands on it by providing on-screen visuals of horizontal control data so you can easily verify data, eliminating costly mistakes, while on-screen visuals of vertical control data allow you to verify that you are using the correct data from the plans to stake. SMI Construction also provides you with  the ability to stake by point number and determine station location of the point, as well as to stake by station, offset, skew, skew offset and elevation of a point using various combinations. Multiple stake options, combined with sophisticated templates, give you the flexibility to set grade stakes, slope stakes, bluetops, and ditch points on normal, widening, superelevated and skewed sections.
