  • Reports

    Course Description 

    (Course Duration:  10 minutes) 

    In this course, you will learn how to use the reporting functions in AutoCAD Electrical. There are two types or reports Schematic and Panel, reports can be manual created of you can configure Automatic Reports. 

     

    Course Objectives 

    The material presented in this course teach you how to: 

    · Learn how to extract information for schematic components that have a catalog value assigned.  

    · Learn how to extract Panel reports information for panel footprints, nameplates, and terminals that have a catalog value assigned. 

    · Lean how to create Automatic Reports tool allows you to run multiple reports at one time.

    In this course, you will learn how to setup AutoCAD Electrical to use you’re company’s standards.

     

    Course Objectives

    The material presented in this course teach you how to:

    · Use an Environmental file to set lookup locations

    · Configure Project Settings

    · Create an Electrical Template

    · Configure Drawing Settings

    · Create Edit Wire Types

  • Custom Components

     Course Description 

    (Course Duration: 20 minutes) 

    In this course, you will learn how to use the variety of tools and commands to create an AutoCAD Electrical component. 

     

    Course Objectives 

    The material presented in this course teach you how to: 

    · Learn how to Define new AutoCAD Electrical Schematic component. 

    · Learn how to Define new AutoCAD Electrical Panel component. 

    · Understand how to create a custom Icon Menu Wizard, adding new components and sub menus.  

    · Learn how to createedit a new Catalog component. 

    · Learn how to create a new catalog component, built from a number of different components, making an assembly. 

    · Electrical components, in many cases have defined pin list, AutoCAD Electrical consults a Pin List table. This is included in the catalog database and when a part number is added to a component the pin number can be automatically assigned. The pin list can be updated and changed as needed.

  • Exporting and Importing

    Course Description 

    (Course Duration: 4 minutes) 

    In this course, you will learn how to use the commands from the ImportExport Data tab. These tools expand the typical tools for editing electrical design template and advanced options for exporting to PLC design tools. 

     

    Course Objectives 

    The material presented in this course teach you how to: 

    · Export project data using Export to Spreadsheet command. Edit the data and import changes to update the project drawings using Import from Spreadsheet.  

    · Share your AutoCAD electrical meta data with other applications using export options. 

     

    Course Prerequisites 

    To participate in this training course, you should have the following:
