  • Microsoft 365 Stream (Classic)

This course is designed to teach students about Microsoft 365 Stream. Stream is a video service app in the Microsoft 365 suite where people in an organization can view all video content provided by their organization. Stream integrates seamlessly with applications across the Office Suite so users can create, share, discover, and manage video easily and securely within Stream and other Microsoft 365 applications. Users can access content via created Groups and Channels and if given Admin privileges, can provide or restrict viewing and creation access. Stream users can watch videos from across their organization in the Stream application or in other applications at any time, on any device. Users can also create live events using Microsoft Stream across the organization. They can schedule, produce, and deliver live events for a variety of scenarios such as companywide events, leadership updates and more. Live events enable producers to curate and control the content that is broadcast to an audience. This course was renamed to Microsoft 365 Stream (Classic) and will not receive any more updates as Microsoft is phasing it out.

  • Microsoft 365 Stream - Beginner

Stream (on SharePoint) is a part of the Microsoft 365 suite and replaces the former Stream (Classic). Microsoft has taken a new approach to working with videos in Microsoft 365 using the new Stream. Videos are now treated the same as any other file type in Microsoft 365. Stream is no longer a storage place for videos. They are stored in SharePoint or OneDrive. Stream (on SharePoint) is the application that is used to open, view, and adjust the settings of videos. It also can be used to record new videos. In this course, students will learn all the basic features, functionality, and navigation in Stream (on SharePoint). They will learn how to find videos using the Recommended section, the search, and the filtering options. They will also learn how to record their screen or video using Stream. Students will learn how to adjust the name, description, options, and settings for videos that they own. This includes adjusting the video thumbnail, adding transcripts and captions, and adding chapters. They will also learn how to manage the playback settings for any video they view in Stream. This includes settings such as playback speed, resolution, and enabling Noise suppression. This course will instruct students on how to share videos with others. Videos can be shared by link, email, or granting direct access to colleagues. Students listen also learn how to collaborate on videos, using comments including using @mentions.
