Workflow Processes:

• Create the Building Energy Model

  This Process details the configuration and energy model creation tasks required in Revit in order to use Autodesk Insight to analyze the building’s energy performance. These tasks will step through:

  Setting up the project location
  Project energy configuration/parameters
  Create and export the energy model to Insight

  It is recommended that these tasks are executed throughout the different stages of the design to obtain the highest impact in the overall building energy efficiency and operation cost.

• Building Performance Analysis

  This Process details how to review and use the building performance analytics produced by Autodesk Insight, to create scenarios and model comparisons to inform the building design process. These tasks will step through:

  Creating insights
  Reviewing the building performance analytics
  Adjusting key factors and creating model scenarios
  Doing comparative analysis when different models are available
  Collaborating with the design team

  It is recommended that these tasks are executed throughout the different stages of the design to obtain the highest impact in the overall building energy efficiency and operation cost.
