Course Description In this course, you will learn how File Locking is handled in BIM 360 so teams can share and collaborate on project documents. Civil 3D 2021, 2020.2 (and newer) have automatic file locking, while older versions of Civil 3D and AutoCAD based products do not, which makes it important for project collaborators to understand so they can avoid version conflicts. In this course you will also learn how to use Markups and Issues in BIM 360 to formally identify and communicate problems and/or concerns in your design drawings and documents.

BIM 360 Project Setup Course Introduction (Course Duration: 26 minutes)
Course Description In this course, you will learn how to setup a BIM 360 project in Autodesk Construction Cloud. To get started in BIM Collaboration for Civil 3D, you’ll need to setup the BIM 360 project and activate the Document Management service. Once your new BIM 360 project has been created, you can invite Members to your BIM 360 team, create the project folders, and assign permissions to the folders. To complete the BIM 360 project setup tasks covered in this course you’ll need Account Administrator permissions to a create a BIM 360 project and Project Administrator permissions for all other project tasks.

Course Description In this course, you will learn the requirements to collaborate on Civil 3D projects in Autodesk Construction Cloud. To work on Civil 3D projects that reside in Autodesk Construction Cloud there are specific requirements you, and your BIM 360 project team, need to be aware to avoid potential setbacks. In this course you will also learn common Civil setup tasks to help you get started, and get onto the same page with your BIM team. This includes sharing Civil 3D templates, setting up the Data Shortcuts project in BIM 360, creating new Civil 3D project drawings, working with References files in BIM 360, and comparing drawing file versions.
