4 Hero Features of Our New KnowledgeSmart Integration

Want the latest AEC&M insights as they develop?

Uniting learning and skill assessment more seamlessly than ever.

Skill assessments are essential for effective learning and development, providing users with actionable feedback and organizations with key insights into workforce strengths and gaps. With the new KnowledgeSmart integration, we’re not just making learning easier—we’re helping organizations save time, streamline operations, and make smarter, faster decisions for workforce development.

Skill assessments are essential for effective learning and development, providing users with actionable feedback and organizations with key insights into workforce strengths and gaps. For one thing, they provide users with key feedback throughout their learning journey, offering a sense of accomplishment, motivation, and clarity on where to spend their valuable time. Assessments are also crucial for organizational leadership at every level: team leads, training managers, and business leaders. They offer perspective on your workforce as a whole, highlighting areas of strength and pinpointing development needs, shining a light on training results and ROI, and providing detailed guidance for onboarding and targeted individual development.

Without a way to measure progress, learning lacks direction. It’s for these reasons that KnowledgeSmart skill assessments are such an important component of the Pinnacle Series learning management system. The closer we can connect these two powerful platforms, the greater the benefits our users will be able to reap from both.

Integrating KnowledgeSmart with Pinnacle Series is an ongoing, and critically important, project for Eagle Point—and we’re excited to announce a major update. The latest KnowledgeSmart integration addresses key hurdles that you, our users, have raised to us, and creates a more frictionless, more cohesive, and smoother learning experience than ever. Here, we’ll cover four central features of our latest integration and how they pave the way toward learning and development goals for stakeholders across the organizational spectrum.

1.    Seamless login

Benefits: End users

Perhaps one of the most widely requested features we’ve heard for KnowledgeSmart is for a single sign-on system. With the new integration, separate logins are a thing of the past. Users can quickly transition between learning and assessments without disruptions, reducing frustration and boosting productivity.

Training managers can now direct users to assessments with a single click, creating a streamlined, cohesive learning experience. This frictionless access creates a more cohesive experience for end users, blending learning with skills application and real-time feedback. It may seem like a simple thing, but when the goal is to create a smooth pathway for training, every bump in the road stands out.

Our new integration makes separate logins a thing of the past. Users only need one set of credentials to seamlessly access the entirety of Pinnacle Series and KnowledgeSmart, so there’s no confusion about where to find up-to-date information. Managers can take full advantage of Peak Experience’s redesigned assignments feature to direct users to the assessments they need, confident that all those users will need to do is click a link. This frictionless access creates a more cohesive experience for end users, blending learning with skills application and real-time feedback.

2.    Automated user syncing

Benefits: Training managers, HR, system administrators

When our team at Eagle Point acquired KnowledgeSmart, we knew it would provide invaluable insights for our Pinnacle Series users. However, its origin as a separate business meant that KnowledgeSmart and Pinnacle Series have maintained separate user lists, as a legacy of the time before the merger. From the beginning, it has been our goal to merge these lists to streamline work for training managers and system administrators. We’re proud to announce that long-awated update is here.

Automated user syncing unifies user data across Pinnacle Series and KnowledgeSmart, reducing manual tasks and ensuring accuracy. With fewer administrative steps, managers can save valuable time while scaling their learning programs effortlessly. This feature ensures your user lists stay current, minimizing errors and enabling your team to focus on optimizing training strategies instead of managing data.

Automated syncing also improves the scalability of your combined Pinnacle Series and KnowledgeSmart implementation. The ability to add, remove, and update users simply and with a minimum of error means that Pinnacle Series can grow smoothly alongside your business, and onboarding staff have no extra hurdles to jump. With less administrative work on their plates, managers can refocus their energies on optimizing learning content and paths for their workforce’s unique needs.

3.    Synchronization logs

Benefits: System administrators

With improved automated synchronization comes increased visibility into the sync process. Administrators have enough on their plates without having to track data across both KnowledgeSmart and Pinnacle Series. Instead, our new synchronization logs give administrators a window into the automated sync keeping KnowledgeSmart and Pinnacle Series up to date.

Synchronization logs provide administrators with complete transparency into every update, error, and deletion, ensuring data integrity and enabling efficient troubleshooting. These logs enhance compliance by offering an audit trail, giving organizations the tools they need to maintain security and policy adherence while reducing administrative burdens.

4.    Real-time skill assessments

Benefits: End users, training managers, organizational leadershi

Our users rely on Pinnacle Series as an invaluable tool for understanding the skills within their workforce. For managers trying to assign team members to projects, or leaders seeking to measure the L&D needs of their organization, a lag in their “single source of truth” can mean delayed decision making.

Continuing with the theme of improved synchronization, the new KnowledgeSmart integration offers real-time skill assessment data. With this upgrade, users can receive immediate feedback on the progress of their learning, which helps to keep them engaged and motivated. Managers have access to up-to-the-minute information on the skills and expertise of their teams, ensuring they can make the best decisions possible surrounding work assignments, training, and business development. And training and development managers don’t have to wait to find out how their learning initiatives are doing, either—they can see results in real time, and course-correct as needed.
