    Lighting Systems Course

    Course Description

    In this course, you will learn how to add lighting systems to the building model in Revit. You will learn best practices to coordinate with the architect’s model for fixture location, how to place additional electrical fixtures and equipment with MEP connectors, create circuits and switch systems, and schedule the system.

     

    Course Objectives

    The material presented in this course teach you how to:

    · Create working floor plan views

    · Review the electrical system model settings

    · Copy/Monitor Lighting Fixtures from linked model

    · Place lighting fixtures

    · Create circuits and switches

    · Schedule the system

     

    Course Prerequisites

    To participate in this training course, you should have the following:

    · Understanding of MEP terminology.

    · Completed the Getting Started in Revit, Views in Revit, and Project Setup learning paths.

    · Completed the Spaces and Zones course.

    Course Description

    In this course, you will learn how to add spaces to the model that will store the values used to perform heating and cooling load analysis on the building model. You will also learn to add zones that will allow you to define the spaces that will be controlled by the environmental controls systems to perform load balance and analysis.

     

    Course Objectives

    The material presented in this course helps you gain an understanding of the following topics:

    · Add and Modify Spaces

    · Add and Modify Zones

    · Create Space and Zone View Color Schemes

    · Create Space and Zone Schedules

You will learn best practices to coordinate with the architect’s model for fixture location, how to place electrical fixtures with MEP connectors, create circuits, add panelboards and schedule the system.

     

    Course Objectives

    The material presented in this course teaches you how to:

    • Review the electrical system model settings

    • Create electrical floor plan views

    • Add electrical fixtures and equipment

    • Create circuits and add wiring

    • Connect to mechanical equipment & other power loads

    • Work with panelboard schedules and templates

    • Create a feed-through lugs panel

    • Add low-voltage devices

    • Schedule electrical fixtures and devices

    • Model cable tray and conduit

     

    Course Prerequisites
