  Course Description

  In this course, you will learn how to leverage InfraWorks to create basemaps in Civil 3D.  Using the InfraWorks Model Builder you can acquire existing elevation data from USGS data sources to establish the existing ground surface for your projects.  In Civil 3D you can create a new basemap drawing with an assigned coordinate system and import the existing ground surface.  The geolocated elevation data from InfraWorks can be paired with the Live Maps in Civil 3D to provide context and get you started into your preliminary designs.

  · Display Live Maps and Captured Areas
