Learning Path Courses:

  • Frame Generator Course

    Course Description
In this course, you will learn how to use the Frame Generator workflow. This top-down design process greatly simplifies the complexities of designing a structure using Autodesk Inventor. This process uses a skeletal model part file to define location for frame member in an assembly file.

    Course Objectives
The material presented in this course teach you how to:
Understand the use of the Frame Generator to create?internal frame?and?external frame?assemblies for machines.
Understand how to control Frame member file naming using application options.
Learn how to create a skeletal model.
Learn how to place frame members into an assembly.
Learn how to trims and extends two frame members at their ends.
Learn how to reuse and place frame members into an assembly multiple times and edit placement.
Learn how to edit existing frame members using the trimextend command.
Learn how to change the length of frame members using Lengthening and Shorten command.
Learn how to Miter frame members.
Learn how to create end cap.
Learn how to remove end treatments.
Learn how to use Frame Analysis to understand the structural integrity of a given frame regarding deformations and stresses, when subjected to various loading and constraints.

    Course Prerequisites
To participate in this training course, you should have the following:

    (Course Duration: 30 minutes)

  • Multibody Part and Sketch Block Workflows Course

    Course Description
In this course, you will learn how to use the multi-body part workflow. This Top-down approach allows you to create and position multiple bodies within a single part document.

    Course Objectives
The material presented in this course teach you how to:
Understand the multi-body part is a top-down workflow which allows you to create and position multiple bodies within a single part document.
Learn how to create a multi body part.
Learn how to create a sketch block, you can add instances of the block to your layout.
Learn how to derive sketch blocks or solid bodies instances to part and assembly files using the make components command.

    Course Prerequisites
To participate in this training course, you should have the following:
    None

    (Course Duration: 13 minutes)

  • Deriving Course

    Course Description
In this course, you will learn how to create a derived part, this is a new part that references an existing part to copy bodies and other information such as sketches, work features, and parameters. The source of a derived part is called the base component. You create a derived part using a part, assembly, sheet metal part, or weldment as the base component, selecting elements to include and exclude.

    Course Objectives
The material presented in this course teach you how to:
Understand a derived part is a new part that references an existing part to copy bodies and other information such as sketches, work features, and parameters associatively.
Learn how to create a derived part that references an existing part or Assembly.
Learn how to create a part can be derived into an existing part file to create a multi-Body part.

    Course Prerequisites
To participate in this training course, you should have the following:
    None
