To leverage Autodesk Construction Cloud for Civil 3D collaboration, you’ll need to create a project, invite members to your project, and create the project folders. The ACC project will serve as the storage container for your project files, and will allow you to assign project details that you can leverage for collaboration tasks. Once your project is created, you can invite members to your project. This will require that you input their emails and send invitations. Upon receiving an invite, members can accept the invitation to join your project. As members join your project, you can start building out the folder structure for your project files, and assign folder permissions to members. To complete these tasks, you’ll require Project Administrator permission in Autodesk Docs. To prepare your project team for ACC collaboration it’s important to setup your Civil 3D project so all templates and standards are in-place, and available for other project members. This includes drawing templates, sheet templates, support files, data shortcuts, and attaching drawing references. Having all the essential Civil 3D setup and configuration in Autodesk Docs, will make it readily accessible to members to ensure consistency in your project deliverables. With your Civil 3D standards loaded into your ACC project, members can start creating new project drawings, you can setup the Data Shortcuts Project, and create the project Sheet Set. Additionally, external references can be uploaded and attached from Autodesk Docs to ensure broken links or circular references are not persistent in your project. NOTES: The Civil 3D requirements and supported Autodesk Docs configurations is subject to change with updates to Autodesk Desktop Connector. This primarily pertains to the support of certain file types and/or content configurations (i.e. Pipe & Subassembly catalogs, Survey Database)
