In this process you will review, prepare, and export the Civil 3D site model to a DWG file that will be linked in Revit to produce the site toposurface.
When working on a larger project with multiple buildings or if you want to coordinate your project based on the project’s civil engineer or surveyor coordinates it is recommended that you create a separate Site project. This will enable you to take advantage of Revit’s Survey Point to match the real world coordinates and then set the Project Base Point to a project grid intersection or other significant benchmark. This model can also be used to work on the site conditions themselves without having to worry about the building elements per se.
