Workflow Processes:

• Create Conceptual Roadway Design - Spline Roads

  This Process steps through the tasks that will create a conceptual roadway design using Spline Roads and the base tools available in Infraworks and Infraworks 360 LT. This Process will not utilize tools that are available in the “Design Roads” tools in Infraworks. Spline roads are simple lines & curves drawn in InfraWorks with an associated styles. You can assign typical attribute data to them, but they have little design value.
  Tasks that will be completed in this process are:
  Creating a Project
  Adding Base Map Data
  Creating Road Model
  Transferring Model to Civil 3D

• Create Conceptual Road Design - Component/Design Roads

  This Process steps through the tasks that will create a conceptual roadway design using the Design Roads tools available in Infraworks. Design Roads enable precise control over geometry, grades, and cross-slopes. Design roads are 3D and are placed in the context of your base model data. You can edit the vertical and horizontal geometry of Design Roads separate from each other.
  This process will guide you through:
  Creating a Base Model
  Creating Component or Design Roads
  Analyzing the Model for Material/Earthwork Quantities
  Transferring the Model to Civil 3D

• Create Conceptual Bridge Design

  This Process steps through the tasks that will create a conceptual bridge design using the Design, Review, and Engineer Bridges tools available in InfraWorks. This process does not apply to users of InfraWorks 360 LT A conceptual bridge design can only be created where you have already placed a component road or a design road.
