If you know where the file is, you can browse through the folders structure and find it manually. Along the way, there are many ways to make the browsing experience easier, especially if there are many files and folders to navigate through.

If you do not know precisely where the file you need is located, you can use the Find File tool to search through the folder structure and find it. This tool has a plethora of options within it to make the process easier, faster, and more likely to work. NOTES: If you know where the file is that you’re looking for, this process is not necessary.

There are two primary methods of opening documents. You can use the Recent Documents area if the files have recently been accessed, which is fast and convenient, or use the Open Dialog, which gives you far more options and flexibility.
NOTES: Recent Files is faster, but requires the file to have recently been accessed. Open Dialog offers more options and flexibility and may be required.
