• Install Project Explorer

  The Civil 3D Project Explorer is only available in the AEC Collection and EBA subscriptions. The Project Explorer is NOT installed with Civil 3D and must be installed and licensed separately. To download and install the software you’ll need to use the Autodesk Desktop App or access it from your Autodesk Account Management page online. If you do not see the download available in either of these locations contact your Autodesk Contract Administrator.

  NOTES:
  Civil 3D Desktop Connector is only available for Civil 3D 2020 & 2021.

• Using Project Explorer

  The Project Explorer can be used in a variety of ways, including to view, edit, and report on data in you Civil 3D drawings. This process includes common tasks that will help you get started with the Project Explorer and recognize the value it will bring to your Civil 3D projects.

• Customize Project Explorer

  The Project Explorer can be customized using the Preferences and Layout options within the platform.

  Preferences determine any aspect of the Project Explorer user interface which is not relevant to the generation of reports. For example, color schemes and default scale settings for profile and section views, font settings for the user interface, and the visibility and pane layout of each individual Object Category tab in the Project Explorer window.

  Layout Options determine the layout, format, heading name, and visibility of data columns and values in the Project Explorer user interface and in generated reports, spreadsheets, and AutoCAD tables.
