  • Create Drainage Network

    Create Drainage Network Course Introduction

    (Course Duration: 38 minutes)

    Course Description

In this course, you will learn how to manually create drainage design features; such as Junctions, connections, and inflows. We will review the Display Settings which control the layers, colors, size of text and icons, annotation options, and more. Once the Drainage design features are established, we will learn how to modify the junction, connection, and inflow information by dialog boxes and tables. Finally we will review how to import drainage design features using LandXML, GIS, and Text options. Various surface import options will also be looked at more in depth.

    Course Objectives

The material presented in this course teach you how to:

    · Create Junctions, Connections, and Inflows manually or by converting imported data.

    · Adjust the display of objects in the plan view; such as text height, icon size, color of linework, etc.

    · Modify parameters of drainage design features in their respective dialog boxes.

    · Make changes to multiple entities at once in Tables.

    · Import drainage design features using LandXML, SHP, and CSV files.

    · Import a surface using a TXT file.

    Course Prerequisites

To participate in this training course, you should have completed the following courses:

    · Getting Started in InfoDrainage

    Tips:

    · Turn off your phone, close your email, text and social media apps.

    · Plug headphones or ear buds to your computer.

    · Go Full Screen when watching videos.

  • Perform Drainage Analysis

    <br />

    Perform Drainage Analysis Course Introduction

    (Course Duration: 30 minutes)

    Course Description

In this course, you will learn how to define Rainfall events using the Rainfall Manager by importing existing files and manually defining a storm event. The Drainage system will then be sized using the Network Design Wizard and results evaluated by table and flow paths. An analysis will be run with the pre-defined criteria and results will be reviewed by table and graph.

    Course Objectives

The material presented in this course teach you how to:

    · Define various rainfall events using NOAA data and IDF curve files.

    · Set Design Criteria and run Preliminary Sizing using the Network Design Wizard.

    · Review the connection results by table and by created Flow Paths.

    · Validate and Run an analysis with set criteria.

    · Evaluate the results with tables and graphs.

    · Review animation of the storm using Flow Paths.

    Course Prerequisites

To participate in this training course, you should have completed the following courses:

    · Getting Started in InfoDrainage

    · Create Drainage Network

    Tips:

    · Turn off your phone, close your email, text and social media apps.

    · Plug headphones or ear buds to your computer.

    Add Stormwater Controls Course Introduction

    (Course Duration: 35 minutes)

    Course Description

In this course, you will learn how to create and manage Phases of the project to evaluate additions and adjustments to the design. Stormwater controls; such as Bioretention, Ponds, and Swales will be added to the design. We will review the settings available for creating these objects. An analysis will be run to evaluate the efficiency of the added Stormwater controls. Lastly we will run an Exceedance Analysis to check for flooding.

    Course Objectives

The material presented in this course teach you how to:

    · Create and manage Phases, adjust the visibility of Phases, and control the analysis of Phases.

    · Create a Bioretention by tracing linework available.

    · Calculate the sizing of the Bioretention.

    · Create a Swale and add outlets.

    · Create a pond by converting linework and adjust it’s parameters for sizing.

    · Validate and Run an analysis of the new Stormwater Controls.

    · Review the results of the analysis by table, graph, and Fow Paths.

    · Run an Exceedance Analysis for the 100 year storm.

    · Review the 1D/2D analysis with animation in the Flow Path and in the 3D view.
