This course will help you find some of the basic tools and features in Revu so you’re not overwhelmed when you first open the interface. This course will give you a tour of the interface, walk you through the Thumbnails Panel, demonstrate how to use basic markup tools and how to save any customized tools in your tool chest for easy access later. Additionally, we’ll show you how you can quickly and easily create PDF forms.

  • Revu Essentials

    Overview

    Revu Essentials provides AEC novices and veterans alike with skills and knowledge necessary to create and collaborate with Bluebeam Revu and Studio. It also prepares you for the Bluebeam Certified Professional Exam, which earns you a digital badge to showcase your accomplishment.

In this course, we’ll help you get up to speed quickly so you can start using Bluebeam today. Because project managers use Bluebeam in more ways than any other role, we’ve divided this onboarding into three tiers. Each tier will dive a little deeper into the vast capabilities of Bluebeam.

    In this tier 1 course, you’ll learn how to place markups, save customized markups, organize your markups, and create Page Labels.

    This course will cover more useful features of Bluebeam that you can use as a Project Manager.

    As a Project Manager, you will use Bluebeam in more way than any other discipline. In the first course we covered some of the basics to help you get started. In this course, you’ll learn even more features that you can use to speed up and automat your work. We’ll cover how to quickly insert new pages using Batch Slip Sheet, how to set the scale of a drawing for accurate measurements, and use Revu’s two document comparison tools, Overlay Pages and Compare Documents to find differences between PDFs.

    By the end of this first course, you should be able to:

    • Insert replacement pages using Batch Slip Sheet
    • Set the scale of a drawing
    • Take basic measurements using the length, polylength, and area measurement tools
    • Organize pages using the Thumbnails Panel
    • Use the Overlay Pages feature to compare different PDFs
    • Use the Compare Documents feature to compare different PDFs
  • Start Using Bluebeam for Project Managers Tier 3

    Overview
    This course will teach you more advanced features of Bluebeam that will help you do your job both more quickly and efficiently.

    Now that you’ve learned some of the basics of Bluebeam, you’re ready to learn some more in-depth features that will make your job faster and more efficient. In this tier 3 course, you’ll learn how to create Batch Links to quickly navigate multi-page documents, quickly create forms, set up Studio Projects for document management and sharing, and use the Markups List to create custom columns for tasks such as adding assignees and marking completion levels.

    By the end of this first course, you should be able to:

    • Create Batch Links on multi-page documents
    • Create a form using the Auto-create function
    • Create a Studio Project
    • Upload and share files from a Project
    • Create custom Columns in the Markups List
