Export the Civil 3D Data

This process explains how to prepare the data in Civil 3D and then how to export the data.
Import the Design into 3ds Max Design

This process walks through importing the Civil 3D design and draping an aerial photo on the original ground surface.
Add Additional Content to the Scene

This process walks through adding additional content into the scene such as road markings, swept objects (bridges, retaining walls, barriers, etc.), guard rails, and other placed objects (signs, lights, cameras, etc).
Light the Scene

This process will walk through lighting a scene to make a more believable rendering.
Render the Scene

This process walks through rendering still images and drive through videos.
Bring in Design Changes

This process walks through bringing in Civil 3D design changes. If something in the design is changed in Civil 3D it will just take a few steps to update the 3ds Max Design scene.
