    InfraWorks Basics Course Introduction

    Course Description
    In this course, you will learn the basics to get you started into Autodesk InfraWorks. InfraWorks is a conceptual and preliminary design tool that you can use to jump start your infrastructure projects and create professional and realistic presentations for project stakeholders to help them visualize and interpret design intent. The simple and intuitive platform interface provides easy to use, and intuitive tools for multiple design alternatives that you can explore on your projects.

    This course will give you an understanding of how InfraWorks can improve your project designs, learn the User Interface, become familiar with the Contextual and Frequently used tools, and will teach you how to collaborate with others on your InfraWorks projects.

  • Create InfraWorks Model

    Create InfraWorks Model Course Introduction
    (Course Duration: 25 minutes)

    Course Description
    In this course, you will learn how to create a new InfraWorks model using Model Builder, and append your model with other Data Sources. The quickest and easiest approach to create a new InfraWorks model is to use Model Builder to aggregate data from multiple sources, including OpenStreetMap’s, Microsoft Bing Maps, and USGS to establish the existing conditions. After the initial model is created, you can append the model with other data sources, like 3D Models, Raster Imagery, and ArcGIS data. Once all of the data has been aggregated into your new InfraWorks model you can use Themes to view and analyze the features and terrain.

    Course Description
    In this course, you will learn how to add conceptual design features into your InfraWorks model. Using the Intelligent Tools, along with the extensive “out of the box” feature styles, you can add realism to your models for improved visualization and presentations. This course will cover the most commonly placed conceptual features and the teach you the tools used in InfraWorks to manipulate the features after they have been added into your model.

  • Road Design

    Road Design Course Introduction
    (Course Duration: 45 minutes)

    Course Description
    In this course, you will learn how to create Components Roads in InfraWorks. Component roads are assemblies of different parts, such as lanes, curbs, gutters, medians, shoulders, and sidewalks. You can add, split, delete, or modify every component and assembly in your roadway project, and save custom road assembly configurations to your Library so you can use them again. By using Components Roads you can apply Superelevation, Roadside Grading, Component Transitions, Calculate Earthwork Quantities, and display Pavement Markings.

  • Civil Structure Design

    Civil Structure Design Course Introduction
    (Course Duration: 15 minutes)

    Course Description
    In this course, you will learn how to add and modify Civil Structures to Component Roads in InfraWorks. Bridges and Tunnels can be added to Component Roads using the InfraWorks library bridge components and tunnel shapes. This course will teach you how to place Civil Structures on a Component Road, and how to use the grips, manipulators, and the stack to refine your civil structure designs.

    Drainage Design Course Introduction

    Course Description
    In this course, you will learn how to use the Drainage Design tools in InfraWorks. We will cover how to create a Watershed and leverage the watershed to size culverts. You will also learn how to manually and automatically add Drainage Networks to you InfraWorks model and analyze the drainage network for catchment and pipe flows.

    Exchanging Data with Autodesk Civil 3D

    In this course you will learn how to round trip data between InfraWorks, Autodesk Civil 3D, and then back to InfraWorks for final design modeling. InfraWorks is widely used for conceptual and preliminary designs, but with the interoperability features you can more easily blend detailed designs into your InfraWorks models.
