  • Introduction to Class A

    Introduction to Class A Course

    In this course, you will learn the complete Class-A surface development workflow in Autodesk Alias, from foundational concepts through production release. Beginning with an introduction to Class-A standards and continuity requirements, the course progresses through scan data interpretation, curve fitting, patch planning, and primary and secondary surface construction. Students will learn surface diagnostic and evaluation techniques using reflection analysis, sectioning, and curvature tools before completing the workflow with a thorough model-checking and release preparation process. Each lesson builds directly on the previous one, developing the skills needed to produce mathematically clean, production-ready exterior surfaces that meet automotive design, engineering, and manufacturing standards.
