  Course Description

  In this course, you will learn how to configure and customize the default Drawing Settings in your Civil 3D drawings.  The Drawing Settings can be used to preset many of the settings in your Civil 3D drawing files, including the Units and Zone for the project coordinate system, objects layers, label abbreviations, and the Ambient Settings.  The drawing settings can be set at the drawing level, feature level, or at the command level.  Where appropriate, overrides can be used at lower levels in the drawing file for more flexibility and control of the drawing settings.

  In this course, you will learn the benefits of using Property Sets and how to incorporate them into your Civil 3D templates.  Property Sets allow you to enrich the data and information on objects residing in Civil 3D drawings, by attaching manual and/or automatic data attributes.  You can use Property Sets to classify objects into a variety of categories, and for more complex needs, you can extract data from objects to use in formulas or for quantity schedules.  This course will teach you the fundamentals to get started with Property Sets.

  Course Description

  In this course, you will learn how to customize the common object styles in Civil 3D.  There are numerous Object Styles that you can customize in your Civil 3D drawing templates, and although each object type has unique settings and characteristics, there are 3 distinct style configurations that are very similar.  The object styles control the appearance, CAD Settings, and behavior of Civil 3D objects.  The View Styles control the graph display and CAD Settings for objects, like Profiles and Sections.  And Table Styles control the configuration, data properties and CAD settings for object tables.

  Course Description

  In this course, you will learn how to customize the labels used for Civil 3D object annotation.  Object Labels allow you to create intelligent labels that update when an object is edited or will self correct if the view orientation has been changed.  Numerous label styles can be defined in your Civil 3D templates to allow users to more easily label objects, and to maintain a consistent label appearance in your project drawings.  In addition to individual object labels you can create custom label sets for Alignments and Profiles.  And create custom Band Styles and Band Sets to label profile and section views.
