Course Description
In this course, you will learn how to use the import and export commands in Autodesk Inventor. Using the “AnyCAD” functionality built in Inventor you can seamlessly work with a verity of CAD files from other CAD software’s or share data with other Autodesk design software.
Course Objectives
The material presented in this course teach you how to:
· Learn how to import points from a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet into an Inventor sketch.
· Learn how to import AutoCAD Blocks into an Inventor drawing file.
· Explain how the IDF Translator enables the transfer of PCA data between PCB layout and mechanical design.
· Learn how you can import and export mesh geometry, add work features, constrain mesh geometry, measure and create surfaces.
· Understand how to Save or export Inventor models and drawings in several formats, PDF files can be created for 3D models and drawings.
· Understand the Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) file format provides an open standard means of exchanging model information between manufacturing, architecture, engineering, and construction industries.
· Understand "Construction Classification System (known as OmniClass™ or OCCS).
· Learn how Inventor Connected Design enables online 3D design reviews with others not on your network who need to participate in the design process.
· Learn how to Pack and Go packages of Autodesk Inventor file and all of its referenced files in a single location.
· Understand envelopes in simplified Assemblies.
· Learn how to Import a Revit Family.
· Learn how to export an Inventor assembly into a Revit Family.
