  Referencing Files: Course Introduction

  In this course, you will learn how to use references in Microstation to create design file compositions consisting of multiple external design files and raster images. Reference files play a significant role in CAD drafting, in that they allow you to federate multiple project files into a single design file.  As multiple team members work on separate design files, you get the updates as they are being made.  Leveraging reference files allows you to better organize your design files to alleviate excessive file size, and keep working drawings more compact and manageable.

  Exporting and Printing: Course Introduction

  In this course, you will learn how to to setup a drawing in MicroStation using design models and sheet models. Once setup you will be taken through the printing and batch printing functionality as well as how to setup a project using Sheet Index.  You will also learn how to export single files, and batch export multiple files to a different file format.

  The getting started course introduces you to the layout of the MicroStation environment, shows you where to access the most common and frequently used tools,  and how to navigate the interface. You will be introduced to the functionality of the mouse and how selection works. The session will cover creating new files and the different types of models that can exist in a MicroStation file.

  Working with Cells: Course Introduction

  In this course, you will learn how to leverage cells in Microstation to create reusable CAD geometry. Cells allow you to quickly and easily create commonly used CAD geometry without having to redraw every new instance. They can be created from simple and/or complex elements and include your organization’s CAD standards to make your deliverables more consistent.
