Course Description
In this course, you will learn about what resources are available and how to create a test scene where lights and materials can be created and modified. You also see that an outside file can be linked and converted for use with 3ds Max and its compatible materials and lights.
Course Objectives
The material presented in this course shows how to:
- Locate free, useful scenes and an Arnold Material library.
- Use MAXtoA for conversion of a linked file.
- Explore rendering presets and their value for rendering quality.
- Explore material presets and maps with the 3ds Max physical material.
- Use Arnold RenderView for fast feedback and comparison of images.
- Benefit from fast “live” edits in an interactive window where lighting/material changes change the interplay of materials with properties like reflection so these an be evaluated before committing to any final renders or animations.
- Use RenderView in both a test scene or eventually in a final project.
